Every week was an adventure that made me look at my surroundings with an artist's eye. Colour, light, shadows... He came to class each week well prepared with examples, learning materials, still life subjects and humour.

Everyone commented on what a lovely activity it was to do as part of our staff retreat and how much we enjoyed Matt's facilitation style -- he is very knowledgeable and has a really calming and easy going instructional style that allowed everyone's creativity to flow freely and enjoy the natural setting.

Matt is passionate about both art and teaching. Classes were creative, supportive, and fun! I feel I now have the skills and theory to continue to play and develop as an artist!

Matt is so wonderful to work and chat with. He’s been coaching me and helping me focus and plan my artist promotional package. I felt very welcomed and encouraged by him.

As a complete novice to acrylic painting, Matt’s courses gave me the skills and confidence to put paint to canvas. Matt was very helpful in the areas where I struggled. He provided me with guidance and resources to help in my learning.
